Trio Wanderer quite deserves their stage-name. Indeed, "Wanderer" pays homage to Schubert, and more widely to German Romanticism. The Trio has centered their repertoire on German Romantic works, which are often imbued with the leitmotiv of the wandering traveler. "Wanderer" also alludes, albeit with a smile, to a musician's life, enriched by many inner voyages, and, more prosaically, fashioned by numerous tours. These three young French musicians are avid open-minded wandering travelers, who explore the musical world, ceaselessly spanning the centuries from Haydn to Ravel and Copland.

However, they bear little resemblance, if any, to the dark, solitary, Romantic hero. For one thing, the three musicians rarely perform separately. It is all the better, since their 13-year-old friendship pervades their music and gives their interpretation all its character. One is immediately struck by their extraordinarily sensitive style and their almost telepathic understanding of each other. Lastly, to bring the metaphor to a close, these three wandering travelers did not fortunately inherit the curse that befell the Romantic artist: early on in their career, critics recognized their talent, and they have since enjoyed wordly acclaim and fame. As dedicated professionals, they have managed to steer their career with flair and intelligence: they have just been honoured with the sponsorship of the ACCENTURE Foundation which covers 48 countries. Doubtlessly, the future belongs to them.
